Didier Deschamps, France’s manager, has extended his contract with the team until the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

According to a statement released Saturday by the French football federation (FFF), France head coach Didier Deschamps has extended his contract until June 2026.

The statement read, “The French Football Federation and its president Noel Le Graet is pleased to announce the extension of Didier Deschamps’ contract as head of the French national team until June 2026.”

After the 2022 World Cup, in which France lost to Argentina on penalties in the final in Qatar, Deschamps’s previous contract was up for renewal.

France won the Nations League in 2021 and the 2018 World Cup in Russia under Deschamps. They also made it to the European Championship final in 2016.
