Spain Soccer International Team for FIFA World Cup 2022 || Qatar World Cup 2022

Since 1920, Spain’s national football men’s team has represented Spain in international competitions. Royal Spanish Football Federation, is the governing body for football in Spain.

Spain has been crowned to be world champions, which makes them one of eight national teams to be crowned. Spain’s team has also participated in a total of 16 FIFA World Cups out of 22 World Cups.

Here is the list of Spain’s National Team who are playing for the FIFA World Cup 2022

1. Unai Simón (Athletic Bilbao)

Unai Simon Mendibil is a Spanish footballer who was raised in the village of Murgia but was born in the Basque Country. Simon has played for under-19 and under-21 levels.

On August 20th of 2020, Simon received his first call to the senior side of the UEFA Nations league Simon plays for the Spain national team as Goalkeeper and for the club named Athletic Bilbao

2. Róbert Sánchez ( Brighton and Hove Albion)

Robert Lynch Sanchez plays as a goalkeeper for the Premier League club named Brighton and Hove Albion and represents his country Spain in the national team.

He started as an international player for the Spanish national team in March 2021, for the now-going FIFA World Cup qualification matches against three countries naming Greece, Kosovo, and Georgia

3. David Raya

David Raya Martin who is an international player plays as a goalkeeper for the club Brentford. In 2019, he began his Spain career with Blackburn. He rovers before he transferred t Brentford.

In March 2022, Raya won his call-up to the senior team in his maiden international team.

4. Dani Carvajal

Daniel “Dani” Carvajal Ramos is an international professional player who plays as a right-back for the club Real Madrid. He has gone on to win 20 major trophies at Real Madrid club including five Champions League, a Copa del Rey, and three La Liga titles.

Dani also won European Championship during the year 2011 at the youth international level.

5. César Azpilicueta

César Azpilicueta also known as César Azpilicueta Tanco is a Spanish international footballer who plays as a center-back or right-back for the club Chelsea.

Tanco has earned 55 caps at the youth level in all age groups for Spain and also has represented under-21s in the European Championships. Tanco also captained Spain in a FIFA World Cup qualification 2022 for the first time.

6. Eric García

Eric Garcia Martret is a Spanish footballer who plays as a center-back for the club Barcelona and represents Spain’s national team as an international player.

Eric became part of Manchester City in the year 2017. He captained the category of under-18 and played for the under-19 in the UEFA Youth League.

7. Hugo Guillamón

Hugo Guillamon Sanmartin is a 22-year Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder or central defender for the club Valencia and represents the Spanish national team.

He was chosen for the FIFA World Cup 2022 after he made his debut as a senior international player representing Spain.

8. Pau Torres

Pau Francisco Torres born in Villarreal has played youth football with Villarreal. On 21st August 2016, he made his league debut with reserves, starting in a 1-0 loss against Cornella.

On October 4th, 2019, Torres got his first call-up for the national team by Rober Moreno for the UEFA Euro qualifiers 2020 against the country Sweden and Norway.

Aymeric Jean Louis Gérard Alphonse Laporte, also known as Aymeric Laporte is a professional international Spain footballer who plays for the club Manchester City and represents Spain’s national team.

Laporte has represented France under the category of u-17, u-18, u-19, and u-21 levels captaining each side.

10. Jordi Alba

Jordi Alba Ramos is a 33-year professional Spain footballer who plays as a left-back for the club Barcelona. In his generation, he is regarded as one of the best left-backs players.

Alba made his senior debut for Spain in the year 2011, scoring one goal and winning 23 caps at the youth level. He has been part of squads at the FIFA World Cup in the years 2014, 2018, and this year 2022.

José Luis Gayà Pena known as José Gayà is a left-back football player who plays for the club Valencia, whom he captains and represents Spain in internationals.

Across all youth levels, Jose has earned 34 caps for Spain. On 11th September 2018, Gaya played his first match in the UEFA Nations League. 

Gaya qualified for the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.

12. Rodrigo Hernández (Manchester City)

This professional footballer is called Rodri or Rodrigo, plays defensive midfielder for the Premier club Manchester City and represents Spain for the nationals.

Rodri representing the side at UEFA EURO 2020, made his senior debut for the senior national team in 2018. He was also a former Spain youth international.

13. Gavi ( Barcelona)

Pablo Martín Páez Gavira known as Gavi is a central midfielder who plays for the Barcelona club and represents Spain’s national team.

In the year 2020-21, having featured twice for Barcelona, Gavi was promoted to the senior squad for pre-season friendlies with the new season. Gavi has also represented Spain under the category of 15 and 16 levels.

14.  Carlos Soler

Carlos Soler Barragán plays as a Central midfielder, and right midfielder for the Ligue 1 club and represents Spain’s national team in the internationals.

Internationally, in the tournament of the year, 2020 Soler won a silver medal with the Spanish Olympic team. In the year 2021, Soler made his senior debut and was chosen for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

15.  Marcos Llorente

Marcos Llorente Moreno plays as a midfielder or a right-back for the club Atletico Madrid and represents Spain’s national team.

He appeared in 39 competitive matches over three seasons, serving a loan at Alaves. In June 2019, he signed with Atletico Madrid, winning La Liga while being deployed in several positions in his second season.

He was part of the squads at the 2020 UEFA Euro and currently playing at FIFA World Cup 2022.

16.  Pedri

Pedro González López known to be Pedri is a Spanish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for the club Barcelona and represents Spain’s national team.

Pedro became the youngest goalscorer in Las Palmas history at 16 years by scoring his first professional goal in a home victory over Sporting Gijon.

17. Koke Resurrección

Koke Resurrección known as Jorge Resurreccion Merodio captains the Spain national team. He plays as a midfielder for the club Atletico Madrid.

At European Championship 2013, Koke won with his Spain team under category 21. He also represented the country at three World Cups and Two European Champions. On 11 November 2020, Koke returned to international duty after two years without a cap. He also captained his for the first time for his team.

Sergio Busquets Burgos is a Spain national team footballer who captains both La Liga clubs Barcelona and Spain team. 

He is considered to be capable of directing gameplay through short and calm passes and is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders of all time.

On April 2009, Sergio made his senior debut, and ever since made over 130 appearances for the club and has won 30 trophies.

19. Ferrán Torres (Manchester City)

Ferran Torres, full name Ferran Torres Garcia is a 22-year-old Spanish player who plays as a forward for the club La Liga Barcelona and represents Spain’s national team.

He won EFL Cup in the year 2020-2021 season. As he has represented Spain at youth levels internationally, he was called up for the senior team for his debut in 2020.

20. Nico Williams

Nicholas “Nico” Williams Arthur is a Spanish footballer who plays as a winger for the club Athletic Bilbao and represents the Spanish national team in internationals.

On 6th January 2022, Williams scored his first two goals for the Lions in a 2-0 win over Atletico Mancha Real. Williams first played in the category of the under-18 squad representing Spain in 2020, scoring two goals in four games.

21. Yeremy Pino (Villarreal)

The 20 year Yeremy Jesús Pino Santos, also known as Yeremy, is a Spanish footballer who plays right winger for the club Villarreal and represents Spain’s national team.

Yeremy has represented Spain in the category of age group under-17 and under-18 levels, also as a team captain. On 6th October 2021, Yeremy made his debut for the senior team in the Nations League semi-final against Italy.

22. Álvaro Morata

Álvaro Borja Morata Martín is a Spanish footballer who plays for the club Atletico Madrid and represents Spain’s national team. Alvaro plays as a striker for the team.

In the year 2010, Alvaro made his debut with the senior team at Real Madrid. At the youth level, Morata earned 34 caps for Spain helping the country win UEFA European Under-21 Championship during the year 2013.

23. Marco Asensio

Marco Asensio Willemsen plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for the club Real Madrid and represents Spain’s national team.

In 2016, Asensio made his senior debut for Spain representing them at the FIFA World Cup during the year 2018 and 2022. He has won several honors, including three Champions League and three La Liga trophies.

24. Pablo Sarabia

The Spain footballer Pablo Sarabia García mainly plays as an attacking midfielder and right winger. He has also represented 232 matches and gained 36 goals over eight seasons.

Sarabia was also a Spanish youth international player. In 2019, Pablo made his senior debut representing at Euro 2020 and 2020 World Cup.

25. Dani Olmo

Daniel Olmo Carvajal plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for the club RB Leipzig and represents the Spanish team in internationals.

In 2015, he made his professional debut for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. He played around 124 matches for the club, scoring 34 goals and winning the league and cup five and three times.

26. Ansu Fati

Spanish footballer Anssumane “Ansu” Fati Vieira plays as a forward for the club Barcelona and represents Spain internationally.

Ansu Fati chose to represent Spain’s national team after getting citizenship, he was born in Guinea-Bissau. He is considered to be the best youngest player in the world.
