NFL Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest while playing in a game on Monday night, and he needed to be revived twice.
After collapsing to the ground making a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins and being treated by first responders, the Buffalo Bills player remains in critical condition in a hospital.
They had to revive him twice because his heart had stopped beating. Dorrian Glenn, Hamlin’s uncle, disclosed this information to CNN. “They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital, and then they resuscitated him a second time when they got him to the hospital.”
At the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition after spending the previous night in the intensive care unit. We are appreciative and grateful for the overflow of help we have gotten so far,” the Bills expressed on Twitter on Tuesday.
Hamlin’s family has expressed gratitude to fans, praised the efforts of medical professionals, and thanked the Bengals and coach Zac Taylor for their assistance. A statement released on Tuesday stated, “We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans across the country.”
