Argentina Soccer Team Welcomed Home By Thousands Of Fans After FIFA World Cup Victory 2022

On Dec. 20, 2022. Tuesday thousands of Argentina fans turned up during the World Cup victory parade in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Argentina players went on an open-top bus parade after Agentiana’s historic third World Cup win by the national men’s soccer team after defeating France.

On Tuesday millions of fans welcomed the FIFA World Cup Winners 2022 led by Captain Lionel Messi. Later the open-bus parade was abandoned due to the massive crowds. The  30-kilometer parade route was planned from a Buenos Aires suburb to the center of the capital – but it made slow progress.

The decision to trade the bus for a chopper was made after the bus passed along people for almost five hours straight. The spokeswoman twitted that “It was impossible to continue on the ground due to the explosion of popular joy”.

The parade was cut short due to the flooding of people in the streets of Buenos, the country’s

capital. There wasn’t any space on the streets, as thousands came out to witness their victory players celebrate the World Cup title since 1986. The country has waited a long time to welcome the trophy of the World Cup, especially with Messi playing in his FIFA World Cup Finale 2022.

It was celebration time but unfortunately turned out to be a bit ugly. Videos online showed that the supporters and fans of Argentina were jumping from a bridge to get on the bus with the players.

The people got too crowded to the extent that the security forces advised the team to fly out of the parade by helicopter for the safety of the players. The players were made to wave from helicopters that hovered over the capital instead of waiting for the bus tour.

As there was a change in the parade’s plan, Claudio Tapio, head of the Argentine Football Association blamed the law enforcement stating –” The same security people that were escorting us are not allowing us to move forward, I apologize in the name of all the champion players”.

This precious moment is everything to the people of Argentina. The country has been through a lot of rough times with the economy with inflation rates creating a situation where 4 in 10 people live in poverty.

It was one of the best and most memorable matches between two superstars from two different generations Messi and France’s Kylian Mbappe, where Argentina won by 4-2. Argentina was leading by 2-0 in the first half of the match but Mbappe scored twice late in the second half of the match to tie the match. Argentina won by a penalty kick and lead by 4-2.
